IPAM Summons Six Students for Disciplinary Hearing Over Alleged Misconduct

The Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone, has announced a disciplinary hearing for six students accused of various forms of misconduct during the 2025/2026 First Semester.

According to a notice issued by the IPAM Disciplinary Committee, the affected students are required to appear before the committee on Thursday, 6th August 2026, at 10:30 a.m. prompt. The hearing will take place in the Deputy Vice Chancellor's (DVC) Conference Room, located on the 4th Floor of the IPAM New Building.

The notice states that the hearing forms part of the University's disciplinary process to investigate allegations of examination malpractice and determine the appropriate course of action.

Students Invited for the Hearing

The students listed in the notice are:

1. Abdul Rahman Conteh (ID: 61402) – BSc Applied Accounting, Department of Applied Accounting.


2. Abass Kamara – BSc Procurement and Logistics.


3. Ansumana Kamara (ID: 57191) – BSc Information Technology.


4. Jimmy M. Smith (ID: 56445) – BSc Information Technology, Year 2.


5. David Bangura – Banking and Finance, Year 4.


6. Ishmael Sorie Kargbo (ID: 50455) – BSc Applied Accounting, Year 4.



Failure to Appear May Lead to Judgment in Absentia

The Disciplinary Committee has warned that any student who fails to attend the hearing will be judged in default of appearance. In such cases, the committee will make its decision based solely on the evidence presented before it.

The notice emphasizes that attendance is mandatory for all invited students to ensure they have the opportunity to respond to the allegations against them.
